Welcome to stay at Countryside Traveling Jaakonaho!

The Kaakila Ranch and the Countryside traveling are located by the Kalajoki River in Haapajärvi, in the village of Oksava. We offer accommodation in two different cottages by the water around the year. Both of the cottages have modern amenities and saunas.

Kaakilan Helmi was built before the summer of 2018.

The cottage has two bedrooms, a bathroom, a big kitchen, a dressing room, a washroom, a spacious 8-person sauna, and a big 40m2 terrace.

The furniture includes a 49” TV, stereos with Bluetooth connection, an air conditioner, an induction stove, a washing machine, a laundry machine, and great lighting for cooking.

The terrace has an astonishing view of the river, where you can go fishing, swimming on the cottage’s beach, and rowing on a boat.

The older cottage has a traditional cottage atmosphere, and the cottage’s yard has a granary, which can be used for sleeping in the summer.

The cottage has two small bedrooms, a kitchen, and a small terrace. There’s also a fireplace, basic kitchen equipment, a TV and a radio.

The yard has a grill, a slide, and a sandbox for the children.

The cottages are in the same plot next to each other, but both have a peaceful yard.

Both cottages also have a boat, fishing rods, and fish traps.

The cottages are located six kilometers from the Haapajärvi centre by the Savontie (27) road in a beautiful countryside setting.

We can arrange a hot tub, kayaks, canoes, and fat bikes for your stay if needed.

The surrounding area has several lean-tos, which can be used as resting places during camping. The terrain is also excellent for walking and biking.

The Siiponkoski Nature Trail and bird-watching tower are located only two kilometers from the cottages, and can easily be accessed via water as well.
