Tynnyrikoski rapids and River Lohijoki

Experience Tynnyrikoski!

Located just over 10 kilometers from the center of Haapajärvi is Lohijoki, where the Tynnyrikoski rapids flow.

This magnificent Natura area is a worthwhile destination for nature enthusiasts.

Near Tynnyrikoski, you’ll find the new Kumiseva slope stairs. When you reach Tynnyrikoski, do not cross the bridge; instead, follow the Lohijoki trail for about 1 km.

You can also access the stairs via the Pitkäkangas fitness trail (signs coming soon).

In the winter, the road directly to Tynnyrikoski is not plowed.
